Welcome to the ‘Virtual Forum against Cybercrime’.
We face a critical juncture where cybercrime is impacting our lives on an unprecedented scale. Everyone today is exposed to cybercrime, including system intrusion, data and identity theft, illegal distribution of digital contents and Internet fraud. For this reason, comprehensive actions against cybercrime are urgently needed, governments and international organizations have to put their efforts to prevent and combat cybercrime.
In this regard, as a member institute of the United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Program Network Institutes (UNPNI), the Korean Institute of Criminology (KIC) has developed the ‘Virtual Forum against Cybercrime’, under the auspices of United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
This forum was thus created to provide a web-based portal that includes an online training program for law enforcement personnel from Asian countries and practical information on cybercrime for researchers and the general public.
